Our view on Jiu-Jitsu is simple, we teach our students to first and foremost defend themselves against a larger, more athletic attacker, that is the basis of Jiu-jitsu and our highest priority.
The self-defense aspect of Jiu Jitsu should always come first. Jiu Jitsu was created to enable a smaller and weaker person to defeat and defend against a larger, stronger opponent in a real situation.
Our main goals for our students are to introduce and develop a strong foundation to the great art of Jiu Jitsu with an emphasis in self-defense in a clean, friendly and safe environment while increasing their fitness and confidence.
Here at the Barreto Jiu-Jitsu Association we not only teach great Jiu Jitsu but also a healthy lifestyle.
